Gas meter reader
LAIWA Optical Gas Meter Reader automatically collects meter readings from legacy gas meters, installs non-intrusive on the meter top and collects data with high accuracy and reliability at set intervals using optical reading with machine learning technology. The internal battery will last for more than ten years with normal usage.
The meter reader is equipped with different sensors to monitor the gas consumption and status of the gas meter with high accuracy and reliability, it automatically collects and stores the meter values and send them via the mobile connectivity to a cloud application or via local wireless networks. It monitors the gas meter for flooding, low or high temperature and shock, vibration, or manipulation.
The meter readers can work autonomously or in clusters of readers with local network sharing one mobile data connection. Its IP68 proof enclosure resists dust and water intrusion.
The Laiwa Optical meter Reader enables smart metering functionality for legacy utility meters without requiring a full-scale replacement of existing meters.

Calibration certificate
At the customer’s request, each Efento sensor can be supplied with a calibration certificate in accordance with ISO / IEC 17025. The test is performed in an external, ILAC certified laboratory. The calibration date is saved in the logger memory and it notifies the user about the suggested date of the next calibration.
Data security
Data transmitted wirelessly between the sensor and smartphone/Efento Gateway can be encrypted. Thanks to that, unauthorized persons cannot hijack the communication between sensors and other devices. Efento sensors’ software can be updated over the air, which will allow you to easily install any security patch that is released.
Integration
We believe that the Internet of Things is about integrating data sources, analysing the data and drawing conclusions based on it. If you want to integrate Efento loggers with your software, cloud platform or mobile application, we will provide you with the necessary documentation, libraries, SDKs and we will gladly assist you.
